Ryan grew up in northwestern rural Minnesota but moved to the Twin Cities, where he attended the University of St. Thomas and graduated in 1994. Ryan first became a real estate agent in 1994, bought his first rental property in 1995, and became a broker/owner in 1996. Over the years he has had ownership or management experience in the three major aspects of real estate: mortgage origination, title insurance, and real estate brokerage. Ryan has also personally continued to be a real estate investor owning single family, duplex, multifamily, and commercial properties.
